YOU CANNOT BE REPLACED!!

September 10th is World Suicide Prevention day but this whole week is a week dedicated to suicide awareness. I took a part in TWLOHA's (To Write Love On Her Arm) movement by purchasing their suicide awareness package which included this shirt, a bracelet and a bunch of information cards which says: " 2/3 of people who struggle with depression do not seek help. Untreated depression is the leading cause of suicide. Suicide is the third leading cause of death among people 15-24. We are the numbers. We can change the numbers. It starts with the first step. There is a lie that suggests depression and suicide are things we can't talk about. If you or someone you know is struggling, please know you're not alone. Please talk to someone. Talk to a friend. Consider talking to a counselor."

I myself have struggled with depression for 6 years and attempted suicide a dozen times but never actually went through with it. Every attempt lead to me sitting there just thinking about how my death would affect the people who look up to me, although I'm not actually sure why they began looking up to me in the first place. I'll continue to fight depression until either it becomes to much and takes over or until I die some other way. Never loose hope.
